Before building custom homes in Southeast Idaho, we repaired newly built homes and saw the same issues: walls out of square, uneven floors, and framing problems that caused doors and windows to shift. Families were moving into an investment that already had serious problems. Building a great home takes experience, skill, and a team that genuinely cares about the quality of the work. Our general contractor brings over a decade of residential construction experience, working in everything from site preparation and dirtworks to structural framing and full home construction. This hands-on background gives us a deep understanding of how homes should be built to last. Along with our core team, we partner with trusted local tradespeople and suppliers throughout Southeast Idaho, ensuring every project benefits from skilled craftsmanship, reliable materials, and accountability at every stage of the build.
With over 10 years of experience, he manages projects as the main client contact. He is the lead builder and takes pride in constructing quality homes. Gordon enjoys the Southeast Idaho way of life, spending his leisure time in the mountains with his trusty pup Scout.
He keeps projects running by stepping in where needed and improving efficiency by sourcing and implementing better tools and machinery. His time outside of work is rooted in Idaho life with his family, appreciating the slower pace and values of the community.
She oversees all marketing, website, and social media for Grutes Dirtworks and Construction, and outside of work she’s focused on family life and raising her young child in Idaho, embracing the same small-town values and community pride that define the company.
Scout is our loyal jobsite mascot who is on-site for every dirt work project, “overseeing” operations alongside Gordon and making sure morale stays high, keeping the crew moving with a lighter mood and true Idaho worksite spirit.
